SONORITY
2026Johanna Elina Sulkunen & Tapani Toivanen
An encounter between the embodied human voice, live electronics, and the visualisation of the digital afterimage of the natural world. Breath, vibration, resonance, and spoken language merge with live electronics. The voice becomes electric, creating immersive and intimate musical moments that awaken the image and set the digital landscape into motion. Sulkunen explores perception, ecology, and belonging through an expanded vocal practice. Volumetric recordings gathered across scales from the microscopic to the monumental, form a shifting visual terrain. A transformative second world unfolds, where breath, resonance, and voice move freely, traversing auditive and spatial scales from particle to body to society.
